Prose from the Pro’s is a sequence of books that provide insight into the thoughts and experiences of each practitioner in their own field. The books are written as prose to illuminate the profoundness of their words and shared creative expertise. Each book reads as a narrative beginning with personal quotes evolving into general thoughts and finishing with direct advice relating to their practice.
Each of these speakers is significantly different in both practice and personality. David Trott expresses strong creative opinions and has an assertive manner. Rian Hughes is a unique character his effervescent passion for comics and typography is teamed with a learned comprehension of design theory and history. Finally, Anthony Burrill’s work is bold, vibrant and shares his uplifting and optimistic attitude towards work and life.
The books are cloth bound in different colours to represent the individual. The hard back finish with gold foil lettering and use of French folded, Offenbach Bible paper is to create a collectable feel for this special edition series.
